1) Message boards : News : December Update (Message 137) Posted 16 Dec 2024 by bryce Post: Wow! Thanks again to everyone for posting their issues, questions and feedback. Here's where we are as we transition to the holidays: We've been able to prepare data for a lot more work... to the tune of about 100,000 jobs. However, as we read some of the more detailed feedback from the experienced contributors, we realized we had missed some really important BOINC-specific steps when developing our initial analysis code. We've already been working on implementing those steps, but most of the team is on their way to family and friends for the holidays. We'll pick this up next year. Though while much less important, we do think we've fixed the various website, team and forum issues. We wish everyone a joyous holiday season and Happy New Year!

We've been able to generate a ton of new data to analyze. However, we're going to hold off on posting more jobs for just a bit longer so we can focus on various app fixes and bug / error reports that have come in. We're doing our best to make sure everyone who wants to help, can (and hopefully without frustrations). Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US... and a ton of thanks to everyone that has contributed so far. More soon...

In addition to generating more data for WUs, we're monitoring the forums for computational issues and are working on fixing them as quickly as possible. Once we've got the already-supported platforms running smoothly, we'll look into creating app versions for other platforms and GPUs. As Jay mentioned, we're a very small (but dedicated) team. Thanks for your patience.

It's been enabled now, but (as per the BOINC suggestion), processing credit will be required to create a new team. If you don't already have credit, we're working hard to get more jobs queued up.
