I've seen the following opinion article by Adam Rutherford in "The Guardian" in response to Colossal Biosciences announcing their plans to bring the mammoth and dodo back to life:
"Reviving the woolly mammoth isn’t just unethical. It’s impossible"

I think the same criticism applies here, and everyone should read this and make their decision before donating their CPU power to this project.
