May Update
Hey, Like a broken record, there is no good news to report. One of our main strategic partners, vital for the project's success and next stages, have not secured new funding, so unfortunately there isn't any new data to process.
Whether we/they manage to secure new funds is currently ongoing. These things, as I'm sure many of you know, takes months but we are staying positive and continuing to have discussions.
Our team are no longer being paid, due to lack of funds right now, so I will post any updates if and when I have them. Thanks for believing with us--we had/have high hopes for this project but like many things in life, it all comes down to cashflow to maintain momentum. Consider the project paused. Again, should circumstances change, you will be the first to know.

March Update
Hey guys,
Sigh: without wishing to sound like a broken record, we are still waiting for the next batch of data from the lab to crunch. The process is complex and the team are working on it. As soon as we have sufficient data, we will update the project here.
Thanks for your continued patience.
Jay.

February Update
Hey, first off, apologies for the silence. We have been working hard to secure more funds and get the next batch of samples to our geneticists for sequencing. With so many moving parts, and this being a passion project for our small dedicated team, things always take longer than anticipated. Thanks for your patience and please bear with us. We hope to have a lot more data to crunch in the coming months. As soon as we have, we will let the community know. Again, thanks for your interest in our project.
Jay.

December Update
Wow! Thanks again to everyone for posting their issues, questions and feedback.
Here's where we are as we transition to the holidays:
We've been able to prepare data for a lot more work... to the tune of about 100,000 jobs.
However, as we read some of the more detailed feedback from the experienced contributors, we realized we had missed some really important BOINC-specific steps when developing our initial analysis code.
We've already been working on implementing those steps, but most of the team is on their way to family and friends for the holidays. We'll pick this up next year.
Though while much less important, we do think we've fixed the various website, team and forum issues.
We wish everyone a joyous holiday season and Happy New Year!

Late-November Update
Thanks again to everyone for your patience while our little team works away behind the scenes!
We've been able to generate a ton of new data to analyze.
However, we're going to hold off on posting more jobs for just a bit longer so we can focus on various app fixes and bug / error reports that have come in. We're doing our best to make sure everyone who wants to help, can (and hopefully without frustrations).
Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US... and a ton of thanks to everyone that has contributed so far.
More soon...

Note from the dev team
Thanks to everyone for the support and feedback!
In addition to generating more data for WUs, we're monitoring the forums for computational issues and are working on fixing them as quickly as possible. Once we've got the already-supported platforms running smoothly, we'll look into creating app versions for other platforms and GPUs.
As Jay mentioned, we're a very small (but dedicated) team. Thanks for your patience.

Important update. Please read this!
Thank you SO much for the enthusiasm and response to our project. We are a tiny team, with just myself as admin and your support has been incredible. Hand-on-heart, we didn't expect this much support so quickly.
We originally queued up around 13,000 jobs in the initial run, all of which have been completed. We added another batch of about the same size early November 8th. Those have already been either completed or are being worked on.
We need to do a bit more work on our end to create more and hope to have them ready for processing by the end of next week.
Thanks again for your patience, support and helping us in this pioneering project.
Jay.

First devices running!
Whoop whoop! One small step for man, one giant step towards the dodo...
We have our first devices running DODO@Home as we begin to unravel the genome sequences of the dodo's ancestry. From small seeds...
